My Life as Open Source

Despite all my rage I am still just a rat in a cage

Just got back from a mindless korean flick, the one who dragged me in fell asleep halfway throught, I woke him up then the next minute he fell asleep again! It’s an amazingly sleep-inducing movie. Only the last scene is interesting because you know it’s time to walk out the cinema. I know, a lot of movies are meant to be cheap fun, sorry, this is not laughable and nothing more than remake of gags already done.

I wish I could get the two precious hours back that I have wasted.

Derek is on dayshift next month, I’ll stay with him for a week as he’s been complaining about we’re having a lack of communication lately. Which means I won’t be updating this blog next week.

I’m running out of things to say, really? No, I want to talk about the current gay issue, Pro-choice and recent tragedies but I’m just not in the mood to rant about.

Rambling mode off.

I’ll play a small role in Eddie’s DV project! It’s a sci-fi crime story! LOL! But seriously I think he’ll throw all his heart into the project because it’s going to competition.

My role is tv reporter, having read the 2nd revised script last night and it seems to have an intriguing ending. Or should I say there is no ending at all!?

I’ve had great experience with Gabriel’s school project last time. He wrote, produced and directed it. The story is about 16 mins long and I had a small role. Shooting movie is difficult, you have to give a real good care like re-shooting every scene doubly just to make sure the lens does focus accurately or consistenly. I know nothing about shooting movie so it was fun to work with Gabriel.

Our office’s air-condition went down at 11am today, it was terribly uncomfortable and horrendously hot. I skipped lunch to finish up some work and left at 3pm. It’s good to back home! Keep reading Louis Cha’s “The Eagle-shooting heros” and nibbling white lotus mooncake.

We saw Mars last night in Tsim Sha Tsui, it looked like a glowing orange in the moonless night sky. Hello! Dear earth invaders (Mars Attack), ancestors (Mission on Mars) and our future home. (Total Recall)

Got home at around 1.30 am. Still awake.

Had a great time talking and hanging out with Chans’* and Eddie. We had a blast, but my feet hurt so much that I can’t barely walk back home from train station, I took a taxi instead. When your feet hurt your whole body feels it, every step is painful. All this mention of these adorable white skinny heels, why would I running around on heels?

Anyway, I should stop complain bitterly as I love them.

* Chainsaw and his girlfriend Tiney

I always want to be as wise and clever! I’m grown up now and getting old and obviously not wise and clever. I wish I was little, when you’re little, your best friend invite to you to play Battle Tank doubles, you hurt yourself is if you actually hurt yourself. Those were the days, when nothing really mattered except for your toys.

Typical day at work, I’ve been listen to Amelie OST all day, the accordion music relax me and fill me with peace.

Eddie* asked me a question over iChat on Sunday, “What’s your most treasure moment in your life?” hmmmm, treasure moment? It will be the day I get marry or the moment I’m holding my first born child. He said it’s not melodramatic enough. I snapped back, “How about the day I lost my virginity?” It was only after he told me the script he’s working. I gave a serious thought.

My treasure moment is probably the earliest childhood memories I remember, I was about 3 years old, running thought Victoria Park on Sunday afternoon under the sunny blue summer skies and blowing bubbles with everyone chasing them. The playground around Paterson Street (Causeway Bay) corner, the slide would get so hot baking in the sun that my thighs and bare feet would burn as I slid down. And I love to swing on swings, my dad would push me softly and the swing would go higher and higher.

I was lucky to had happy childhood and many sweet memories, there were some painful times involving asthma but I still very fond of my childhood.
