My Life as Open Source

My dvd drive isn’t taking the cds in like it’s supposed to. Usually it needs a little nudge and it slides in like nothing. I don’t really want to get it “repaired” if at all possible. The cd goes in about 2 inches, makes the little whirry sound but it won’t go in any more than that. I didn’t do it, I was listening to a cd last nite and it just popped out and now it won’t take any cds. There is no cd in there, I’ve stuck a paper clip in to make sure. I don’t know what’s going on but I have a friend who knows better so he’s going to get it fixed later. So right now I can’t listen to any cd as of this moment. Fuck! No music No life.

回到家無耐便走出來找阿聰見面。

香港的天氣當然無上海同北京咁涼，不過見到行人的衣著就覺得好誇張好似得番幾度咁皮褸長boots出晒籠。

在杭州的空餘時間去了彷古街城徨閣花港觀魚，北京去了香山公園，天津逛了半天有韓國街頭風味的步行街，上海終於有時間去上海博物館，有幸看了中華五千年文化的珍貴展品（請起立拍手致敬！！！）那裡的暗室燈光設計令展覽品非常搶眼，依主題設計的展覽館和有紅外線感應射燈的書畫展示館讓我大開眼戒，唔講仲以為係香港，比起北京故宮博物館真係好勁多倍，展覽品又多過台北故宮博物�|，廿蚊入場費絕對超值！不過去完三個博物館後發覺展品有些�|相同，例如在中小學中史書裡都有的肥嘟嘟唐代士女俑，清朝的荷花碗，大部份的展品是由各地的博物館借出或私人捐贈，唯獨小數民族展示館的展品無標明出處，心想唔知係咪搶回來？

今次在上海街頭，食肆，商場都見到很多香港遊客或商人，在starbucks和新天地聽到的幾乎都係廣東話，有點回到家的感覺。

唉！終於都回來了！

Here I am in SHanghai now! Yay!

I just have dinner with client from England, who I have never met before. We met at the lobby in Peace Hotel and he looks so much like Michael Douglas.

So the dinner went well and I enjoy this evening very much.I also met some publishers as well which is a bonus!

Okie, tomo is my happy-happy ME time, yay I am on my own in Shanghai! I shop alot in Hangzhou and Beijing(cashmere sweater, pashmina, Chinese medicine and tea) so I must control myself for not buying anything. Aww!

All the boys here are smoking, can’t breath! Must go.

iPod.The lowercase i doesn’t make any sense, unlike Apple’s other products, like iMac, iBook and iTunes, the iPod has nothing to do with the Internet. And “Pod”? I guess it prolly means “Painfully Over-Priced”

Today is my first day in our plant,everything seems okay and hopefully I could handle all the stuffs and faxes from Hong Kong.

I feel pretty awful that I’m missing Beijing and I wonder if I’ll go back there this year.It’s a sin to fall in love with a city far off your home.I can’t explain why I love Beijing this much and just feel like it.Is that something you called chemical? I dig Beijing.

So anyway, am going to Shanghai this Friday and have meeting at nite then will have two meetings on next Monday,and will be home Tuesday. Yay!

Monsters Inc was incredibly cute, can’t wait to get back Hong Kong.

Things to do:book hotel and confirm my flight ticket.

I can’t think of anything else to write. I got ecard from Derek today, that was pleasantly surprising.

I spent my afternoon in internet cafe and listen to Jays’songs. It took me so long to search them. Luckily, the download speed is acceptable.

Here I am in a small town Deqing far off Hangzhou and it’s actually part of Huzhou.I feel so left out here and called mom last nite just to let her to know I arrived safely in Deqing.

I hate the sickness brought on by boredom and uncertainty.
