Fantasic Four: ★★★☆☆ (Inferior /「影」真麻麻)
I was expecting a bad movie from what I saw of the reviews, now I’m only talking about the films. Incredibles borrowed liberally from the FF, but did something fresh with it. FF used the comic book from the 60s for inspiration, but didn’t do much with it.
Some inspiration: the humor was flat, the characters weren’t larger than life, the final battle was quick and the shots weren’t even composed with has much vitality as a *single* Jack Kirby illustration. Tim Story claims to have been a fan of the series, but where was the PASSION?
It is generally assumed that a villain in a story has some Master Plan for baddiness that the heroes must try to stop…Here, we’re just asked to take for granted, since the script never has time to tell us what exact large-scale plan is being fought over. *Was* anything actually being fought over?–I kinda lost track.
By the way, Jessica Alba looks hawt.
