If the future Intel chip is a customized RISC cpu, I will be convinced that Macs will still have stunting graphic capability (together with great display card). If it is a CISC like Pentium IV that SJ used for demo, it will be a little, just a little, nightmare for graphic people and SJ can't give us a benchmark like "Pentium IV based Mac give 232309 gigaflops of performance in photoshop filter". As a matter of fact, SJ hadn't give us a demo of iMovie/GarangeBand or their highend software like DVD studio, FCP and FCE. But it is nothing special for heavy Safari/TextEdit/SPSS user like me as it can be effectively done on a G3 or Pentium II. I can’t conclude the efficiency thing. Then, after watching Steve Job's keynote, I thought, "Wait a minute. You mean we're going to be using OSX on Pentiums?" I feel like I'm in "bizarro world." I'm sure it will turn out okay, but I still feel a little sad.
