Just occurred to me that Samuel Jackson’s demise is cleared copied from Return of Jedi. Lucas wrote it that way so years later in the story, the Emperor would share the same fate of Jackson – betrayed by / died at the hands of the same man in same fashion.
Destiny fulfilled.

You assume that Mace Windu is dead. We didn’t actually see him die. If Anakin can do a free fall act through Coruscant’s airways, why can’t the top Jedi Master? Who knows? Maybe Windu will make a guest appearance in the upcoming TV show?

Yeah, I agreed, if Anakin could survived without limbs AND being burned the way he was. Don’t forget Windu had an arm sliced off, and follow by the electrocution, you know how Luke got progressively weaker as he was hit by lightning? He couldn’t even stand up? I think Windu was incapacitated. But, one thing important, I wish he weren’t dead. They left Windu’s fate the same as Boba Fett’s, no one will ever be sure if he’s dead or not. Gosh! Then there will be tons of speculation and Expanded Universe stories about how Windu survives the fall.
