This week everyone’s talking about HK’s biggest “cop kills cop”crime news in a decade:
Last Friday, a thug who planned to rob a pistol or two from police for his own use (!) had a fierce shootout with two beatcops inside a pedestrian tunnel; in the struggle he killed one cop and heavily wounded the other, but the first cop shot the thug 5 times in the chest killing the thug instantly before he died a hero himself.
Now the biggest catch: the thug was an off-duty COP himself and he possessed and used the gun of another cop he killed 5 years ago – it was a shocking unsolved murder until now. That same year, he put on a mask and used same gun to rob a bank and killed a Pakistano security guard, the case was again unsolved.The outrageous thing is, in between these two crimes in 2001, this guy went on TV’s Millionaire game show with his wife and won HK$60,000! And he was even on news footage before as a protester in a high profile HK democracy parade in 2004. He seemed to love the camera and media coverage. There will be books written about the “devil cop”(as crowned by media) for years to come, his wish somehow fulfilled.

The alleged motivations suggested by the papers for Mr Tsui to Kill Mr Leung for his gun and ammo 5 years ago.
1. Mr Tsui owned an underground football gambling gang which was raided by Mr Leung.
2. Mr Tsui killed Mr Leung for her girlfriend
3. Mr Leung outperformed Mr Tsui when they worked together in the same district.
The alleged motivations suggested by the papers for Mr Tsui to kill another cop recently
1. Mr Tsui was now stortage in ammo.
2. Mr Tsui wanted to kill Mr Tung Chee Wah, thus he need more ammo.
3. Mr Tsui wanted to kill some billionnaires, thus he need more ammo.
4. That 2 cops outperformed Mr Tsui

I’ve read a little about this case. Very strange. If this had happened in the States, there would be a TV movie about it being produced as we speak.

There’s also a spine-chillng details that goes with the news story.
This rogue cop had shot a young beatcop 5 times in 2001, took his revolver and bullets, later robbed a bank and shot a guard 3 times.Last Friday was exactly 5 years and 3 days since this killer cop’s first crime, that night he himself was shot 5 times after he fired the last 3 bullets left in the gun. By the way, his own officer number is 53535. Talk about fate and retribution.
